The Calumet Park Recreation Association (CPRA) was established in 1962 to provide recreation for the community. On March 2, 1963 CPRA broke ground for the "BOND POOL." Shortly after the pool was opened they built the recreation center on Loomis street. The CPRA sold the facilities to the Village in the 1970's. The swimming pool has since closed, but the recreation center remains a vital asset to the community. |
